The short version: Habitat keeps everything on your device. It has no account, no servers and no analytics, and it never sends your data anywhere. There is nothing for us to see.
Overview
Habitat is a habit tracker for Android. It is designed to work entirely offline. The goals you create, your progress and your settings live only in the app's private storage on your device. We — the developer — have no way to access them.
What we collect
Habitat does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. The app does not include analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services, and it requests no internet permission, so it cannot send information off the device even by accident.

This information stays in the app's private storage and is removed when you delete the relevant goal or uninstall the app.
Permissions
Habitat intentionally does not request internet, location, contacts or camera permissions.
Exporting
The “Export data” option writes a copy of your goals and history as a JSON file on your device and to your clipboard. This happens only when you ask for it, and the copy goes wherever you choose to put it. Habitat never uploads it anywhere.
Keeping & removing data
You can remove a goal at any time from the app — choosing to delete it entirely, or to archive it while keeping its history. Uninstalling Habitat erases all of its data from your device. Because nothing is stored anywhere else, that's all it takes.
Children
Habitat is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date above. Material changes will accompany an app update.
